MeriCity is a civic engagement platform that allows citizens to report, track, and discuss civic issues in their communities. The service includes but is not limited to issue reporting, photo uploads, location tracking, commenting, voting, and community discussions.

To use certain features of MeriCity, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to:

• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. User Conduct

You agree not to use MeriCity to:

• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Post offensive, obscene, or inappropriate content
• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Spam or post repetitive content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service
• Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation

5. Content Ownership and License

Your Content: You retain ownership of all content you post on MeriCity. However, by posting content, you grant MeriCity a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute your content for the purpose of providing and improving our services.

Our Content: All content on MeriCity, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by MeriCity and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

6. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, monitor, edit, or remove any content that violates these terms or is deemed inappropriate. However, we are not obligated to monitor all content and cannot be held responsible for user-generated content.

7. Location Data and Photos

By reporting an issue, you consent to the collection and public display of location data associated with your report. Photos you upload will be publicly visible and may include metadata. Ensure you have the right to share any photos you upload and that they do not violate anyone's privacy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

MeriCity is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for the actions of users or the accuracy of user-generated content.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MeriCity shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MeriCity, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease, but your public content may remain visible.
