ा webinar on “Career Opportunities in Sciences” was organised by School of Physics and Materials Science, Shoolini University, for the faculty and science students of Government Degree College Dhaliara, Kangra.
More than 150 faculty members and science students of the college attended the webinar. Students showed great zeal and interest in M.Sc. Research programme.
The main speaker of the webinar was Prof Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Dean, Faculty of Sciences, Shoolini University. Dr.Pramod Patial, Principal of Government Degree College, Dhaliara and Dr. Swadeep Sood Associate Professor Chemistry, Government Degree College Dhaliara were among the panelists.
Dr. Swadeep Sood highlighted the role of career opportunities in Sciences. Later Principal, of the college Dr. Pramod Patial, interacted with the students and talked about the success and failures in life, and encouraged the students to consider their failures as the part of their rich experience in life.
The session was chaired by Prof. Rajesh who started his lecture with three key words career, opportunities, and science. He talked about all the ancient and modern great Indian Scientists and also shared the journey towards Nobel Prizes. He also shared his views about all the Indian origin Nobel Laureates and motivated the students for their science-based journeys. He thanked Dr Pramod Patial, Principal, faculty, and students of Government Degree College Dhaliara for the wonderful Webinar. He specially thanked Dr Swadeep Sood for being instrumental in the successful completion of the webinar.
Prof. P K Khosla, Vice Chancellor, Shoolini University congratulated the organisers of the event for such an interactive session and encouraged others to organise such events in the future as well.
