Indian Institute of Advanced Study Shimla is organizing a two-day International Virtual Seminar on “Acharya Abhinavgupta: Legacy and Significance” from 21st June 2021. The welcome address and the brief outline of the content will be done by the Director of the Institute, Professor Makarand R. Paranjape. Dr. Alka Tyagi is the Convener of the seminar.

International Yoga Day celebration
The Institute also celebrated the 7th International Yoga Day today at 8.30 am following the COVID guidelines. On this occasion, Yogasan was taught to the Institute’s Fellows, Employees, and their families by Ms. Gayatri Iyer. She is a yoga instructor with a keen interest in yoga, is also a curator of Indica Pictures, a freelance creative writer and artist. The Director of the Institute, Prof. Paranjpe delivered the welcome address on the occasion.
