To improve is to change, to be perfect is to change often, this is the quote being proved by Dr Savita Sharma who today appointed as a principal chief conservator of forests in Himachal Pradesh which is also Head of Forest Force.
Dr Savita has break the ceilings at various levels and earning several firsts in her towering career, starting from being the first woman IFS officer to work in West Bengal way back in 1987 and then in HP in 1990.
Then she went on becoming first deputy director general of education in Indian Council of Forest Research and Education in Dehradun, first woman principal of The Central Academy of State Forest Service and then first woman director of Forest Research Institute in its glorious history of 114 years.
Dr Savita also took various assignments on deputation in Delhi as deputy secretary National Commission for Women, director in ministry of social welfare and empowerment and director in ministry of information and broadcasting.
