Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS ) is organizing three days National Integration Conference on “Self-Reliant India: towards Swarajya in ideas” from 18th June to 20th June 2021 through Cisco Webex.
Prof. Makarand R. Paranjape, Director IIAS and Convenor of the conference Prof. Rajvir Sharma said in a joint statement that the roots of Self- Reliant India are linked with Swadeshi movement in the past, but in the year 2020 Prime Minister of India Sh. Narender Modi pushed it.
COVID-19 pandemic has shook Indian economy and society in a larger way. Thousands of people have lost their jobs, there was sharp decline in economic growth, it also negatively impacted physical, social, economic, psychological and basic foundation of India. In spite of these problems India also faced severe natural calamities.
In such tough phase India needed to utilize and optimize the intellectual and economic resources so that India could be a Self-Reliant country in every field.
To overcome such a drastic condition Prime Minister of India Sh. Narender Modi started a new slogan or theme (Self-Reliant India).
In this three days webinar Tarun Vijay, Dr. Rakesh Sinha, Dr. Anuradha Choudry, Prof. Shashi Prabha Kumar, Prof. Dipti Tripathi, Dr. Ratan Sharda, Sh. Praful Ketakar, renowned mathematician Prof. C.K. Raju, Prof. Sripad Karmallkar, Dr. J.K. Bajaj, Prof. Lavanya Vemsani will present their research paper in which they will talk about the historical background of Swaraj, role and contribution of RSS in ideological Swaraj and mathematical or political independence in ideological Swaraj.
