The state government is going to conduct “Him Suraksha Campaign” across
the state from 25 November 2020 to 27 December 2020.
Under this, health workers will collect door-to-door information of all the symptoms for the
diseases like COVID-19, tuberculosis, leprosy, sugar and high blood pressure etc. This campaign will be held with the collective cooperation of Health Department, Ayurveda Department, Women and Child Development
Department, Panchayati Raj Department, District Administration and different NGOs.
About 8000 teams will be formed in this campaign. Each team will have 2 members. Information of various symptoms of COVID-19, tuberculosis, leprosy, sugar and high blood pressure diseases will be collected through a mobile application.
If any symptom will be found in any person, samples will also be collected for further investigation if need be free treatment will also be provided to all.
While giving information, Secretary (Health) Amitabh Awasthi told that if anyone has any symptoms of COVID-19 like cold, cough, fever, loss of taste or smell, difficulty in breathing, etc. he/she must share his/her information with the
health worker coming at their home and get his checkup done done as per the requirement.
Similarly, if someone has symptoms for more than 2 weeks, cough, fever, sputum bleeding, weight loss and chest pain, etc., make sure to provide samples for checking the sputum. Similarly, if someone has a disease of sugar,
blood pressure, asthma, cancer etc., they must also give their information so that all such people can be specially monitored.
He further informed that all types of health related facilities are available in the state in sufficient quantity. There has been an increase in the number of COVID-19 patients in the state in the recent past, but there is no need to fear or panic, but everyone needs to take appropriate precautions. He further requested the
public to follow all the guidelines given by the Health Department such as:
• Use the mask correctly.
• To avoid crowded place.
• Keep at least 2 yards distance
• Wash hands repeatedly with soap and water.
Amitabh Awasthi said that the “Him Suraksha Campaign” will be launched by the Honorable Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur Ji on 24-11-2020 from the historic Ridge Maidan, Shimla. On the same day everyone will also be administered a pledge that all people will follow all the guidelines issued for COVID 19.
